The Course I Wish I Had...

I failed miserably when I first tried to start meditating regularly.

Although I was already doing weekly yoga, and journaling regularly,  meditation was trickier.

I felt resistance every step of the way...

And I had so many questions!

  • Am I doing this right?
  • How long should I meditate for?

I had read about meditation online. And my roommate at the time was really into meditation. I felt like I could figure out a way to make it work on my own.

Months went by, and I was an “occasional” meditator at best.

Although I couldn't see it at the time, I wasn't building this habit in an intelligent manner. I was blind to the various factors that held me back:

  • I had nobody to teach me the fundamentals
  • I had no support to encourage me when I stumbled
  • I had nowhere to ask questions when I felt confused.

Without any of those support mechanisms in place, it took me months of starts and stops before I developed any consistency in my practice.
